Roof repair
A defined failure in workable roofing needs a sound connection at the repair boundary. The shingles, flashing and wood around it determine how much material must be opened.

The service you need starts with what the roof is doing. Water in a room calls for leak tracing; missing shingles call for a look at the exposed layers and the surrounding slope. Planning a replacement means considering the covering, the wood below it and the details that move water off the roof. We help with each of those decisions.

We trace water to the roof entry rather than assuming the stain lies directly below it. A vent collar, wall connection and valley need different repair details.
A closer look helps establish the extent of wear or damage before choosing repair or replacement. Roof age alone does not describe the condition of the current assembly.
A replacement gives access to the deck and the concealed layers. The new covering needs proper underlayment, edge protection, flashing and fastening. Architectural shingles, impact-rated choices and metal each change the installation details and appearance. Ventilation is part of that system: intake and exhaust need to work together, while bath exhaust needs a route outdoors. More vents alone will not cure a leak or every moisture problem.

Damage can expose the wood or underlayment beneath the covering. Temporary protection reduces exposure while permanent work is defined. For water coming in now, call and say the leak is active.
The membrane, insulation and drainage establish the options. Dry, attached roofing with limited surface wear is a different restoration candidate from a roof with wet layers or widespread failed seams.

A loose shingle is only one part of a repair. The replacement needs to fit, the shingles around it need to lift without breaking, and the fastening must reach sound wood. We inspect the damaged area and those adjoining connections before deciding how much roof needs to open up.

New shingles need a reliable base. Replacement removes the old covering, exposes the deck and gives the roofer room to repair deteriorated wood before rebuilding the weather-shedding layers. The finished roof should work at its edges, valleys and openings as well as across the open slopes.

You do not need to know whether a roof concern is repairable before asking for help. A free roof inspection puts the question on the roof, where the covering, flashing and connections can be examined.

Water on the ceiling is the end of a path through the roof. The entry can be uphill or beside a different roof detail. We follow that path so a leak repair addresses the opening that let rain in.

Roof flashing carries rain across the joints where a covering meets a wall, chimney, vent or roof edge. When that connection separates, new shingles alone will not close the water path.

After wind or hail, the roof needs to be examined for the damage that is actually there. We help with missing shingles, disturbed flashing and damaged covering, then explain the repair or replacement scope.

If water is coming in now, call (816) 466-5472 and say the leak is active. Keep clear of sagging ceilings and water near electrical fixtures. Stay inside a safe area and off the roof.

Asphalt shingles shed water in overlapping courses. The covering needs a compatible underlayment, sound fastening base and properly connected flashing to protect the whole roof.

A metal roof is a panel system with particular seams, fasteners and transitions. The useful comparison is how those details fit your roof, along with the appearance and installed cost.

Attic ventilation needs both an intake route and an exhaust route. A new ridge vent cannot work as intended if air has no way to enter, and a roof leak is a different problem from condensation.
